8 months

We have had a great month. What isn't to love about the month that Thanksgiving is in?!? Avery went to Disney World, Epcot to be exact. We are calling this her first trip since she was much more interactive than when we took her at 3 months old. We had a blast and she was worn out by the time we left. Avery is now pulling up to stand. This new ability has made her really proud of herself. It is funny to watch. In her crib, she will pull up and stand and squeal with excitement. Yes, it can be challenging at bedtime, but all we can do is laugh at how excited she gets! We spent the night at grandma and grandpa's for Thanksgiving. Avery even tried a little turkey. She is now eating cheerios like a champ. It took her no time to figure out that they go in your mouth. She gets excited when she sees the box. I guess she is a good eater! Avery is also babbling much more and has started signing "eat" when she gets hungry. She is growing fast!!

Enjoying Thanksgiving!

Avery loves to take the cat food and put it in the water, we chase her about a hundred times a day as she tries to do this!

7 months old

We have had a very busy month. Avery has decided to start crawling. That caught both of us off guard and we quickly had to make some home changes! She is really fast now and loves to crawl to the kitties. If the kitties move, Avery is up and on the move to where they went next. It is funny to watch! She squeals along the way. Another one of her favorite things to do is pick up a toy and just drop it, then pick it up again and drop it again. She will entertain herself for a while doing this. We also had Avery's baptism on October 18. Thank you to Uncle Ken and Aunt Mary for being our godparents. It was a nice day! And of course, Halloween! Avery enjoyed the pumpkin patch. She was Tinkerbell and Sulley from Monsters Inc.

6 months!

We are having a lot of fun around here! Avery is becoming much more independent by the day. She now does a backwards crawl, it cracks us up. We put a toy in front of her and she ends up 5 feet backwards from it. Eventually she will figure out how this whole crawling thing works. Avery made her first trip to Disney World. We stayed at the Boardwalk to see our friends Daryl and Ingrid from Dallas. We went to Epcot and enjoyed the Food and Wine Festival. Avery is also eating more human food, three meals a day. She loves it! We are also able to enjoy the swings at the park now that she has such good body control. We aren't quite sure what Avery does when she sleeps at night, when we go in to get her up, she is never any where near the same place we laid her down in. It makes us laugh!

Enjoying time at the park!

Avery decided playing with the paper before her 6 month check up would be fun!

Now that she is so mobile, everything is her toy, including the cat house!

It got chilly for the first time this fall. We bundled up before our walk!

5 months!

I know I say this every month! But really, where does the time go? Avery is growing and learning new things quickly. This month, she has learned to sit unassisted and is now eating what we call "human food" once a day. She loves to eat her smashed carrots. She grabs the spoon and shoves it in her mouth. Sometimes she doesn't have the best accuracy! Avery has also started to pay more attention to Dude and Dexter. She loves when their tails tickle her legs. She lets out a huge laugh. She tries to pet them, but that usually consists of pulling out chunks of hair, which Dexter is better at taking than Dude! We are now into football season, so Avery has outfits for the Rams, the Gators and the Broncos. Her weekends are spent wearing any two of those teams!

Here is Avery enjoying her apples!

One day, Tom put Avery down to go get a drink, when he came back, she had moved from her green play gym to here! Crazy!

Out on a walk, looking cool!

We went out to dinner for my 35th birthday!

Broncos gear!

Taking a nap, watching football is exhausting!

4 months!

Avery is getting so big so fast! She had her 4 month shots on Thursday the 7th. She did great. Initially she screamed, but then was wonderful the rest of the day. She is sitting up in the tripod way, using her hands to stabilize. One of her favorite things to do is blow raspberries. Avery has also started using her big kid stroller. We were using her car seat in her stroller, but now she has enough head control to not need her car seat.

Avery got a new chair from Grandma and Grandpa, she is just kicking back in it!

She has gotten really good at grasping her toys.

Getting ready to cheer on the Rams! Thanks for the bib Uncle Justin and Aunt Laura!

Here are a few videos we have taken. The first one is about 3 weeks ago, Tom plays "Stick "Em Up" with Avery. The second one is from about a week and a half ago. She is becoming a rolling queen!

3 months!

Time has been moving on by quickly! Avery has learned many new skills. The best are her continual smiling, cooing and rolling over. We had a lot of firsts this month. We all went down to Disney world for the first time, Avery did great! We also slept over at grandma and grandpa's on the 4th of July for the first time. Avery slept well and enjoyed waking up to grandma and grandpa!

Along with the smiles, Avery has started laughing, it is so fun to hear!

Avery all decked out for the 4th of July!

Our time at Disney. Too bad she couldn't eat the cookie.

 And some bath time fun!

Two Months Old!

Avery had her first shots on Tuesday the 3rd. She was really uncomfortable for a while. Then she fell asleep and woke up back to her normal self. We didn't have to give her any Tylenol like I was anticipating. I thought it would be a lot worse than it was! We have all gotten out a lot in the last few weeks. Trips to Target, the grocery store and out to lunch have been fun. Avery does well. She doesn't like when we first get in the car, but then she is asleep. A big change is how much she is smiling. Getting her up in the morning is a lot of fun as she gives us her toothless smiles!

We made our first trip to grandma and grandpa's house. It went great!

Here is Avery asleep on Tom after her shots.

Our friends Marcus and Staci got Avery some Air Jordan socks. They are really fun!

She is starting to out grow some of her swaddles.

One Month Old!

Wow, how the time flies! Avery is now a month old. We have had a busy month with lots of family out to visit. Avery is getting bigger by the day and surprises us with the new things she can do. She holds her head up for long spans of time and is starting to smile which is fun! She has become a good night sleeper which has helped all of us! We have appreciated all the help from family and friends. It has been great. Avery was diagnosed with Acid Reflux, since we have gotten the diagnosis, she is a much happier, healthier baby.
